    Gorkha Kingdom (Nepali: गोरखा राज्य) was a kingdom in the confederation of 24 Khas states, known as Chaubisi rajya, located in the Indian subcontinent, present-day western Nepal. The Kingdom of Gorkha extended from the Marshyangdi River in the west to the Trishuli River in the east, which separated it from the kingdoms of Lamjung and Nepal l: Gorkha Darbar. The Shah dynasty (Nepali: शाह वंश), also known as the Shahs of Gorkha or the Royal House of Gorkha, was the ruling Chaubise Thakuri dynasty from the Indian subcontinent; they claimed Rajput origin from medieval India, and derived from the Gorkha Kingdom from to and later the unified Kingdom of Nepal from to 28 May Current head: Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah.
